Haven't seen a magpie for years so it's a treat to see this haiga about one Polona. They are very rarely seen anywhere on this island. I also love the sky in your photo.

Glorious. This young prince of scolding tongues looks majestic against those clouds.

I've never known how birds can do that! :)

That's quite something to be able to do that when you think of it. Amazing.

Your haiga too is perfectly balanced!

polona, i suspect your haiku/haiga are even more beautiful in slovenian. i studied russian, serbo-croatian and macedonian, so i can make out some of it...they seem positively haunting to me. truly lovely!

takšne motive smo lovili v začetku aprila, konec marca... letos se je ta začetek pomladi preselil v njen konec... na predvečer poletja...
s pozdravi v vikend, ko se bo lazje dihalo...

janice: theyare noisy customers but fun to watch.
thank you for your words.

quilly: wow, that was a mighty fantastic description :)

andrew: me neither, but they do.

masago: indeed, must require a lot of skill.
have found an electrocuted magpie under a power line once, though

gautami: thank you, i appreciate your words.

julochka: hm...i suppose it depends... many if not most of my haiku come in english first although it is my second language. sometimes they work better in one, sometimes in the other language but i can never know for sure...
thank you

lucija: madona, pa še res je... potem pa pretežno sama sivina in dlgčas.... menda bo zdaj bolje, ne ;)
objem k tebi, lep vikend ti želim!

There seem to be quite a few creatures struggling for balance in your words and pictures lately. I know how they feel.
