The heat is justified if it inspired this.

This is awesome Polona - one immediately gets a sense of how hot it really is. Love it.

Lucky blossom. :-)

That flower is marvellous- one of my favourite colours.
I can feel that heat today...

Lovely, as always!

Just gonna rest on this flower and try to catch a breeze .... lovely, Polona.

The butterfly is sheltering that flower with it's wings. A good-hearted butterfly! (Madam?)

awesome details!

>>"oppressive heat". that reminds me. it's terribly hot over here. :(

"oppressive heat.
slow shuffle of feet
over hot asphalt."

bill: the heat may be, but i can't stand the humidity...
thank you

janice: many thanks.

masago: ha, thanks

theelementary: thank you. somehow it looks more vivid in natura

quilly: there would have to be a whole lot of butterflies to cause a breeze...

andrew: well, keep being lucky :)

john: thank you

magiceye: much less impact :)
thank you

tikkis: i reckon it's kind of symbiosis... the butterfly gets nectar in return

julochka: it moved very slowly :)
thank you

neikka: no ja, tisti dan še ni bilo tako hudo :)
pozdrav

lucija: komaj še diham... pa ne zaradi vročine, zaradi dela...
naj zapiha do tebe!

dsnake: i sympathise :)
and love your haiku!
thank you

very evocative, the reader certainly feels the heat...

It must be hard to have to work and fly when its too hot. I'm sure the creatures would like to rest in the shade too.

polona said...

crafty green poet: in that case i have achieved my goal :)
thank you juliet

jem: well, insects have different metabolism from ours and i don't think the heat bothers them all that much. in fact, they need it to warm their muscles...that's why they are inert in the morning when it's still fresh and become active later on...
