quilly: i think it was one of those promotion balloons and someone simply let it go... despite the wild looks, this tree is in a park near the city centre.

Great capture -- by you and the tree. I can't help but marvel that the balloon hasn't broken.
A child must be crying somewhere along with the forest. This conjures up a good story.
