I have always held the opinion that dandelions have beauty and value. I see that you agree!

How are you Polona?
I'm always looking in the cracks of pavement, but I haven't thought to write about it.

S sončnim cvetom
v razpoki asfalta
slepa ulica
vodi v nebo.

Ves čas svojega molka sem te redno obiskovala in uživala.
Radostne velikonočne praznike ti želim, draga Polona!
Topel pozdrav potuje z vetrom,

I know they're supposed to be a 'weed' but they have wonderful bright coloring and lots of childhood memories. Love your words and the photo Polona.

vilinček: ja :o)))
pozdrav in tudi tebi želim lepe praznike!

masago: muchos gracias

quilly: oh yes they do. did you know that the green dandelion shoots (before the first blossoms appear) are used as a salad here?
and blossoms are used for making some sort of wine...
thank you

andrew: yes, i know how you feel. but once they grow big roots, they are nearly impossible to exterminate :)

neikka: pokaži, ne razlagaj je eno od osnovnih 'pravil' v haikuju. bralec pa naj si sam interpretira...
hvala ti za prijetno misel, objem v predpraznični večer!

fotoface: and i say it's all righ :o)

gel: hey, nice to see you :)
and thank you for looking in. spring has arrived so things are ok here...
take care!

don: thanks. could be... weeds are not much different the world over :)

gautami: yes, and seeing it is refreshing!
thanks

alenka: ja... saj vem :)))
in razumem...
mirne in vesele praznike ti želim, pa tudi tvojim najdražjim!
objem

janice: i highly value these humble weeds... they have so many qualities although they can be a pest, too. many thanks, janice.

aleks: ja, vse to... vsakdanji posebnež, kot smo vsi :)
tudi tebi želim vesele praznike!

cul de sac, where is Mr Polanski ?-)
(a film named cul de sac, Polanski 1966)

But here, this flower cannot escape.
But it seems to be happy!

polona said...

julie: it adds some meaning, no?

tikkis: ha, never thought about the film! thanks for reminding me
well perhaps if the wind blows in the right direction, the flower (or its seeds)can escape, no?
well, the flower has shelter and warmth so...

Amazing how life prevails even in adverse conditions. You've captured this so well here.

elena: so true... some weeds are amazingly resilient.
