A very technical point: Since the subject of the verb is "pair," a singular verb ("glides" is what's called for. But the way you have it is common in conversation, so certainly not "wrong."
I read recently that swans can be nasty critters, but I refuse to believe it, and this only strengthens my prejudice.
bill: thank you for pointing that out. i made another typing error a couple of haiga back but am too busy (or lazy) to correct it. as for the swans, they are pleasing to the eye so we mostly choose to see the beauty. but it's quite possible there's a mr hyde somewhere within these creatures, too.

Oooo a good one. Dreamy, magical, hopeful, comforting. This is a place I'd like to spend sometime. It makes me think of going to sleep - as if perhaps the swans are carrying my dreams.
