I can sure relate to your wonderful words and excellent photo Polona. The creek has risen 3 feet and I swear we're going to be next-door to Australia soon if it rains much more...

We had some light rain yesterday, and all our blackbirds worked their way across the lawn, pecking at bugs perhaps?

lucija: ko bi vsaj lahko zaspali kot medvedje, kajne?
saj bo, pomlad je sicer še daleč, a z vsakim dnem bližje...

jem: well, the ground has been frozen for weeks... and the most recent thaw hasn't done much good yet so no wonder he's not happy :)

dsnake: another month or so and they will start singing. but for now... it's not the best of times for them or for us...
