fantastic shot
i never tire of watching gulls in flight
(less keen when they are on the ground screeching) :)

The ground seems not to be grounded.

če bila bi ptica, bi bila galeb (to sem ti menda že povedala)...

Vedno znova me glabji spev ponese v višave... Hvala.

Naredi si lep dan.

Objem, Lucija

i like the way the shot is framed, the heavy black of the cliffs against the weightlessness of the gulls in flight. the words fitted perfectly too. (there i go rambling again. ) :)

masago: thank you.

andrew: many thanks.

floots: neither do i, and i agree, they are much less graceful when on the ground.
thank you

quilly: all is in place in this case...

lucija: galeb v letu je res čudovit pogled, ki me vedno spomni ja jonatana livingstona (zgodbica, ki me vedno znova navdihuje)
hvala ti in lepo nedeljo ti želim (in nič zato, če prsti kdaj zdrsnejo)!

john: thank you.

dsnake: oh, i don't mind your rambling :)
thank you for the kind words

How lovely Polona! I'm quite fascinated by gulls both sea ones and the beautiful white inland ones that used to follow my brother around whenever he plowed the field.

polona said...

the hat: bats are elusive creatures and don't let me photograph them every day.
but yep, gulls are almost as good :o)

janice: thank you. i love gulls and always hope there's a jonathan livingston among them.

that's a deceptively clever shot, polona. beautiful composition

kieselgull: lucky rather than clever. but with a bit of cropping the composition turned out quite ok
thank you

You've highlighted one of my favourite things about gulls - whatever their backdrop they look different. I like them on grey or dark skies too when they are almost aglow!

jem: yes, i am fascinated by gulls all over again and they really look spectacular in the air no matter the backdrop...
