gel: i can't say autumn is exactly my favourite time of year although i can't deny it has its beauty. as for commenting: no problem, i understand. i too come by some sites (yours including - i read more often than comment), meaning to leave a comment but keep quiet because i don't know what to say at a given moment and/or don't have time to think much or return later. you're welcome any time whether you comment or not :)

Wow - well spotted. I've got a soft spot for reptiles. He's quite well camouflaged, I would have thought he was a bit of drifting wood.
